The Obama campaign released a new video on Sunday that most readers here are really going to enjoy. The ad begins with the narrator (talking about the debate) saying When the cameras rolled a performance began, but the problem is that's all it was. It ends with the narrator saying, We have real challenges to meet, children to educate, a middle class to rebuild. America needs a president with character [President Barack Obama], not a politician who just plays one [Mitt Romney].
I included this video at the end of my diary earlier today, "People Want You For Who You Are or What You Have." The Republican Destruction of America, because it fit in so well will my theme about how Republicans are willing to tell all the lies necessary in order to win elections. But it is a very wordy piece and I fear most people missed this ad at the end, so I am creating a separate diary because it's a great video. Since it is not labeled "TV Ad" that means that the only way it will get seen a lot is if we share it via email and social media like Facebook and Twitter.
Narrator: When the cameras rolled a performance began, but the problem is that's all it was.
Mitt Romney: I don't have a $5 trillion tax cut.
On Screen: Yes he does.
Ezra Klein: He's got a tax cut that if you just implemented as were it would cost $5 trillion dollars.
Mitt Romney: I will not reduce the taxes paid by high income Americans.
On Screen: True?
Steve Kornacki: Is that actually true? No, his plan actually would dramatically decrease the tax burden on the wealthy in this country.
Mitt Romney: Pre-existing conditions are covered under my plan.
On Screen: Nope.
PolitiFact Commentator: I have to rate that mostly fiction.
On Screen: "Mostly False." Politifact, 10/4/12 [See Mitt Romney says his health care plan covers pre-existing conditions]
Narrator: Why was Romney so dishonest about his plan?
On Screen: "Erroneous Claims" Los Angeles Times, [See Fact check: Romney repeats erroneous claims on healthcare.]
Narrator: His massive new tax cut for Millionaires means higher taxes on the middle class.
On Screen: "Lying" The New York Times, 10/4/12 [See Romney’s Sick Joke]

Narrator: We have real challenges to meet, children to educate, a middle class to rebuild. America needs a president with character, not a politician who just plays one.
