I had a friend post on Facebook this morning about how Christians need to leave the Democratic party, that we can't separate religion and politics, etc. Having read large portions of the Bible, I can safely say that it actually aligns more closely with the Democrats instead of the Republicans. But lo-and-behold, I was actually reading the WRONG Bible, printed by the liberal Bible-printing media. It had apparently been translated with a left-wing bias.
Fret not, friends! I have recently uncovered the PROPER translation of the Bible, and I will be posting various parts for all of you! Hopefully, this clears things up.
Today's exerpt is Luke 10:28-37.
Luke 10
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And said unto him, "Your injuries could be considered to be a pre-existing condition. Have you had continuous health insurance coverage with a gap of no more than two months?"
"No," The man replied, "I lost my job several months ago and was unable to afford the premiums. I was going to Jericho for a promising interview."
With that, the Samaritan left the man without helping and continued on his way.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, The Samartian of course! People should be held responsible for their decision to not buy health insurance. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
