Just saw this good news on Bloomberg-Florida Democrats cut traditional Republican lead in mail votes
Republicans and Democrats in Florida are casting early mail ballots in similar numbers, wiping away an advantage that Republicans have typically held in the swing state and posing a potential setback for Mitt Romney, the party’s presidential candidate.
According to info provided by the Romney campaign and the Florida Democrats out of about 275,000 absentee ballots returned to election offices through Oct. 13, 44 percent are from registered Republicans and 40 percent are from Democratic voters.
That 4-percentage-point edge is down from 17 points that Republicans had at the same point during the 2008 presidential election.
Democrats have closed the gap by targeting voters who might not have otherwise cast a ballot, said Eric Jotkoff, an Obama campaign spokesman in Florida...
“We see huge excitement and enthusiasm across the state and this is another sign”
State Senator Mike Bennett one of the state’s first elected officials to endorse Romney says their team in Florida needs to build a larger margin with those ballots.
“In an election this close, everything is cause for concern,” Bennett said
...and yes they are concerned.
Hard work is paying off. Making those calls to voters is paying off. Campaign contributions are paying off. Don't let up!
