I know I heard it last night, I heard Romney claim that Governments do not create jobs - not just once but twice for emphasis....
And you know what? I did hear him say it. More below the fold even though this is a short, short diary.
I have not seen anybody else yet pick up on this subtle, yet so telling part of the debate and of the entire Republican thinking mind..... Total DISCONNECT.
And so, I left if public on my Facebook Wall as well, but.....
Didn't Romney claim last night that Governments DO NOT CREATE JOBS? Isn't the President part of our Government?
Then why is he claiming that he can create jobs? Why is running around the country claiming that his policies will create more jobs than Obama's policies? See, he doesn't really believe it himself.

CROWLEY: Thanks Mr. President.
-CROSSTALK-
CROWLEY: Governor Romney?
ROMNEY: Government does not create jobs. Government does not create jobs.
CROWLEY: Governor Romney, I want to introduce you to Barry Green, because he's going to have the last question to you first?

So ask of the people here, did I hear him wrong? Am I interpreting this wrong? I think it was a HUGE telling sign that has been overlooked. I mean, the next time Romney claims he's going to create 12 million jobs.... can we refer to his comments above that Governments do not create jobs?
And oh, yes, Governments do create a lot of jobs.... teachers, Judges, Police, Firemen, the all encompassing Military Industrial Complex is a biggie yearly stimulus package too, just to name a few.....
BTW, FACT: Reagan helped to get the U.S. out of the recession in the 80's by doing what? Creating MORE Government jobs.... had to raise those taxes a quite a few times after mistakenly doing a tax cut that was too large, but hey, he managed to lower the unemployment rate.
Note: I left the snippet about Barry Green up for those of you doing a search for where this is in the transcript, which is now up on many websites.
