So David Nir pointed out that the DCCC is pulling it's money from the Philadelphia TV market to use for other races, same with the NRCC. The ads would've gone towards races like Manan Trivedi in the 6th, George Badey in the 7th and Kathy Boockvar in the 8th. It sucks but the Philadelphia TV market is pretty expensive but they made a $720 K ad payment for the last week of the election. Technically, we should be winning this district along with the 6th district since it's become bluer but Republican Congressmen like Jim Gerlach and Mike Fitzpatrick are backed by Super PACs and the Koch Brothers filling the airwaves with false negative attack ads. I for one refuse to write this race off, just like I refused to write off the Wisconsin Senate race after Tommy Thompson won the GOP primary or the Nevada Senate race. We need more women in the House and the Senate and if we want to put the gavel back in Pelosi's hand, we have to win this race.
Here are a few reasons not to give up on this race. First, yes it sucks that the DCCC pulled their ad buy but I don't believe that the DCCC is giving up because Boockvar's grassroots momentum hasn't. I was very happy to see Boockvar and Trivedi on the Orange To Blue list because this wonderful community is amazing at raising money for candidates we care about. In fact, her campaign had an impressive third quarter fundraising, raking in over $520,000 and bringing her fundraising up to near $1.8 million:

The 3rd quarter includes contributions from July, August and September. It’s an improvement from Boockvar’s 2nd quarter haul of $330K. She had $421K on hand then; her campaign didn’t announce her COH at the end of this cycle.
Her campaign boasted that she’s raised $1.18 million so far this cycle and that 12,134 individuals comprised 99.7 percent of her donors.
Fitzpatrick has not yet announced his Q3 numbers. He raised $395,000 in the 2nd quarter and had over $1.2 million on hand.
Boockvar is Dems’ top challenger in Pa. this cycle, but it looks she’ll need every penny. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Wednesday canceled plans to air about $585,000 worth of television ads to boost her, and other outside groups have not shown signs of getting into the race.
It's because of this community's undying energy that Boockvar has the cash to campaign everyone here at Daily Kos should be proud of that.
Another reason we should keep helping Boockvar is because Tea Party congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick (R), is another GOP foot soldier in the War On Women:
From voting against the Violence Against Women's Act to defunding Planned Parenthood, Fitzpatrick is just awful. There's absolutely no reason for Fitzpatrick to be back in Congress. With Boockvar, we will have a reliable vote in protecting women's health and safety.
The other thing to remember is while Fitzpatrick may have an edge in fundraising, Boockvar has raised way more money from individual constituents whereas Fitzpatrick is on the take from the Koch Brothers and Super PACs like any loyal Tea Party butt boy:
Boockvar's campaign emphasized its success with individuals and small donors.
"Our momentum continues because the people of Bucks and Montgomery counties are tired of politics as usual and a Congress that serves special interests rather than the people's interests," Boockvar said in a statement.
The Democrat collected $443,000 from individuals, compared to Fitzpatrick's $378,000. The incumbent, however, collected more overall with $576,000 during the three-month reporting period, thanks to donations from interest groups and party organizations, which gave $198,000 to him and $77,000 to Boockvar. - Philadelphia Inquirer, 10/17/12
Fitzpatrick also voted for the Paul Ryan budget which dismantles Social Security, turns Medicare into a voucher program, makes steep cuts to necessary programs but makes no cuts to the military budget and of course gives tax breaks to the rich. In fact, here's Fitzpatrick responding to sick and angry constituent:
Boockvar is also a true fighter for the middle class and has been endorsed by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Senator Bob Casey Jr. (D):
Philadelphia Inquirer:
A scurrilous Republican ad campaign against Democrat Kathy Boockvar offered Fitzpatrick a chance to speak out against the divisiveness that continues to paralyze Washington. But instead of showing leadership, he has mostly talked about his bipartisan credentials as a former county commissioner.
Add his party-line votes to repeal the health-care overhaul and approve budgets that would gut federal programs, maintain tax cuts for the wealthy, and threaten traditional Medicare, and it becomes clear that Fitzpatrick is cozying up to tea-party policies far from his district’s mainstream.
Fortunately, voters have an alternative in Boockvar, 43, a voting-rights attorney. Like Fitzpatrick, she wants to boost jobs by cutting corporate tax rates and trimming red tape for small businesses. But she also wants to pass cost-containment measures missing from the Affordable Care Act, rather than jettison it without a viable alternative, which is what Fitzpatrick would do.
The GOP smear campaign labeling Boockvar “Radical Kathy” is unfounded and an insult to the district’s many independent voters, who would be well-served by electing KATHY BOOCKVAR…. - Philadelphia Inquirer, 10/17/12
Senator Bob Casey Jr.:
“Kathy Boockvar will be a leader and voice for middle class families across Bucks and Montgomery counties and that’s why I’m endorsing her for Congress,” said Senator Bob Casey, Jr. (D). “The 113th Congress has its work cut out for itself if it’s to strengthen the middle class, grow the economy, create good jobs, and reduce our deficit. That’s why we need people like Kathy in Washington. She will work with members of both parties to do what’s right for the people of Pennsylvania and America.” - Keystone Politics 10/18/12
The NRCC knows how comptetitve the 8th district especially, especially since it's become bluer thanks to redistricting. Fitzpatrick won one term but then lost to Patrick Murphy. He could very easily lose again that's why the NRCC is pouring money in this race by trying to tie Boockvar to Mumia Abu-Jamal with these misleading robocalls:
Hello, I’m calling from the National Republican Congressional Committee at 320 First Street Southeast, in Washington, DC, 20003, 202-479-7000, with a recorded message about congressional candidate and legal activist Kathy Boockvar and convicted Philadelphia cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
The husband-and-wife law firm of Boockvar and Yeager has represented one of the leading activists for Mumia Abu-Jamal – and Boockvar’s husband was a lawyer for a witness to the murder who accused the cops of pressuring her.
Boockvar’s husband himself accused the Philadelphia police of intimidating witnesses to the murder.
Boockvar’s colleague at a legal activist group accused the Philadelphia police union of having the state’s Supreme Court in its pocket when it comes to Abu-Jamal.
Last year, a group tied to Boockvar’s husband, held an event at the Constitution Center honoring Mumia Abu-Jamal. The cop killer called into the event from prison.
Call Kathy Boockvar at (215) 839-9383 and tell her that’s too radical for Bucks County.

The Daily Kos community has done an excellent job at keeping Boockvar's campaign alive. We need Kathy in congress because she is an honest woman who looks out for middle-class voters and women's health. She will also be key to helping preserve Social Security and medicare so we must not give up on this race.
The GOP/Tea Party knows that Boockvar is a real threat and if Fitzpatrick loses this election, the GOP could lose it's majority in the House. If you really want to see John Boehner cry, put the gavel back in Pelosi's hand and donate to Boockvar's campaign and help assure Democrats in the 8th district vote straight party ticket this year. Give President Obama the congress he needs:
