[Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor, but I am playing one for the purpose of writing this diary.]
As President Obama points out, Mitt Romney has a severe case of Romnesia. But many liberals have a different disease, which I have diagnosed as Sullivan/Ledge Syndrome.
Warning -- It is extremely contagious, especially to readers of Sullivan's blog. You can even get it from friends and co-workers, or by watching dreck like "Morning Joe" or any Sunday show except Chris Hayes' Up.
The symptoms may include:
Breaking out in a Romney-esque Third-Debate Cold Sweat.
Cutting off all contact with political news.
Writing diaries titled "We are doomed" with tags liked "God Help Us," "Canada Move" and "We are so f*&ked."
Speaking in tongues, with only words like "Pew," "PPP," "Gallup" and "Ras" intelligible.
Obsessively clicking on Andrew Sullivan's Blog.
Asking your spouse to remove all sharp objects from your immediate vicinity.
Of course, the name derives from the King of Ledge Syndrome, Andrew Sullivan, who must have experienced numerous incidents of cardiac arrest during the last three weeks, pronouncing that the "election is lost" after every debate swing, poll or change in the barometric pressure.
I myself have fallen prey to this disorder, for example, last night, pre-debate, after reading that Nate Silver did not see a second debate "bump" for Obama.
And yet, there is a cure! In fact, there are a couple of cures.
After experiencing the symptoms above last night, instead of deleting all of the 100 emails from Rich Carmona, Michelle Obama, Tammy Baldwin and Kristin Gillenbrand (I have given to a lot of them), I clicked on Michelle's email and contributed another $25.00.
I felt better instantly. And there were no side-effects!
The other major cure is volunteering, including phone-banking for Democrats.
So if you experience Sullivan-Ledge Syndrome, click on one of these links:

Instant Relief! I guarantee it!
*You can also watch the Second or Third Debate again, but only in combination with contributing or volunteering.
