In the Boston area, we had become used to gas prices hovering at about $4 for the past couple of months, so much to my surprise last week, they suddenly dropped to about $3.70. Then I visited St. Louis over the weekend, and saw prices below $3.20. I even saw people taking pictures of the price signs at the stations.
So, if President Obama was being lambasted by all the usual suspects when the price of gas rose during the summer (which is to be expected seasonally), we shouldn't be surprised that nobody mentions that the price is now plummeting. For sure, we shouldn't be surprised that the media are ignoring the story.
Move beyond the squiggle...
After the dust clears, and Obama gets re-elected with solid support in Congress, how about a thorough investigation of just how biased the media are? I mean, they're entitled to their opinions, but at what point should they be subject to major reporting on how they are complicit in the one-sided media view of the President and anyone who dares to support him?
I'm getting so tired of this. Where are the investigative reporters when we need them? Why aren't they busy digging up who those anonymous donors are, buying the big attack ads and putting up the anit-voter signs in Ohio and Wisconsin? Will there be no end to this crap?
