Just received an email from the DCDP. From the body of the message.
Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland is warning voters to be aware of a fraudulent letter instructing voters to prove they are a citizen of the United States. The fraudulent letter is not from the Supervisor of Elections office.
The letterhead has a flag and an eagle in the top left corner of the letter and appears to be from Jerry Holland Supervisor of Elections but is Not. The letter is not signed by Supervisor Holland. The letter informs voters that our office has received information from the Division of Elections regarding citizenship status which brings into question their eligibility as a registered voter. The voter has 15 days to bring information of their citizenship to the main office or request an administrative hearing with the Supervisor of Elections to prove U.S. citizenship. Voters began receiving this letter October 18, 2012 and is postmarked from Seattle Washington. This letter is not from the Supervisor of Elections office.
There's more below.
I have blocked the local phone #.
Supervisor Holland is encouraging voters that receive a letter of this content to call the Election Office immediately at (xxx) xxx-xxxx. The Elections office would like a copy of the fraudulent letter for further prosecution against the organization that sent the letter to voters in Duval County.
Jerry Holland is a Republican. Apparently one of the last of the sane and honorable variety. Go get 'em, Jerry
