With many thanks to the New Day diary series for inspiring this effort. For those who don’t already know, there is a major social community meet-up thing happening with Kossacks, and Philly should be no exception. Check into the New Day diaries to see all the fun Daily Kos folks around the country are having. Many groups are meeting frequently, or every month, or every few months.
I am organizing this particular effort just to get the local motor humming. Last week I sent out Kos messages to everybody in the Philly Kos group, as well as folks I just happened to know live in and near Philadelphia. In the past week I have heard back from about a dozen of us. There are also some people who have asked to join the group, but have not made mention of meeting-up. Let me know if you are one of those, and want to join the meet-up.
To keep things simple, I recommended we meet at Reading Terminal Market. This is an economical option for everybody. We can make different plans for future meetings. There are two dates and times, and the responses I have received so far have preferences equally split. Here are the two choices:
1. Saturday, November 10th at 3:30 (market closes at 6:00 pm)
2. Sunday, November 11th at 2:30 (market closes at 5:00 pm)
If we are having too much fun, we can move the party elsewhere afterward.
By Sunday, October 28th, I will collect all preferences to see if there is a definite choice. If it is still equally split, I will flip a coin. And then I will make the announcement in Monday’s New Day diary.

I will create an obvious placard and find an empty set of tables a few minutes early. We will find each other. Seating areas in blue here: http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/...
