Expect to see more polling like this as they start to worry about their accuracy and reputation: http://www.gravispolls.com/...

President Obama currently leads Governor Romney by 4 percentage points in Iowa, 50 to 46 percent.

Governor Romney leads President Obama with independent voters by a margin of 48 to 36 percent.  Both candidates received more than 90 percent support from members of their own party.

There is a wide gender gap in this survey. Romney leads by 18 percent among men while President Obama leads by 23 percent with women.

Iowans are divided nearly equally on whether they approve of President Obama’s job performance.  47 percent approve of his performance while 46 percent do not approve of President Obama’s job performance.

In fact, Scott Rasmussen even said this this morning:
All signs point to a close race with just over a week to go. In fact, current polling suggests it might be close enough to produce a split decision, with Mitt Romney winning the popular vote and the president keeping his job with a victory in the Electoral College.

Most national polls show Romney with a very slight lead of around 2 percentage points.

Still, it's Obama who has the edge in the Electoral College.

These are what I call "what had happened" moments where the liars start 'splaining stuff.  Expect to see a continued wave Obama's way as they work on their reputations.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
