I decided to check in today on Dean Chambers, the Unskewed Polls guy. As usual, Romney is winning easily according his polling aggregation. Actually, running away with the election would be more accurate. But the real news? Every single pollster in his current average is biased against Republicans. Every. Single. One. And that includes one poll (NY Times/CBS) for which he calculates a skew of zero. And it also includes Gallup, for which he shows a slight Democratic lean, and Rasmussen, which is 3 times more liberally biased.
More below the curlicue of bias.
Chambers rates some pollsters as dramatically biased for Obama. These are well-known socialist outfits like "Investors Business Daily" (a 7-point Democratic lean) and "National Broadcasting Company" (a 6-point Democratic lean).
But even a poll (NY Times/CBS) showing a "skew" of zero comes in for a tongue-lashing by Chambers. Why? Because, despite having the exact same number of Democrats and Republicans in their sample, obviously skewed their results by oversampling Democratic-leaning Independents. Sneaky bastards gamed the unskewed polls system, got a skew of zero, but still managed to cheat:
The latest New York Times/CBS News poll of the presidential race released today is yet another doctored poll that shows President Obama leading when its data indicates a slight Mitt Romney lead.
The likely explanation for this is probably an over-sampling of independents-leaning Democrats among the sample of independents.
When the data from the New York Times/CBS News poll is unskewed by weighting their reported percentages between Romney and Obama to the partisan affiliations showed by Rasmussen's extensive data results on that issue, the overall picture of Obama's approval to disapproval rating is different. With Republicans weighted 34.8 percent, Democrats at 35.2 percent and Independents at 30.0 percent, the results calculate to a Romney lead of 47.48 percent to 47.12 percent.
Now, from this "exposé" on the NY Times/CBS poll you might think Rasmussen is the gold-standard by which Chambers measures all other polls. Apparently not. Because Chambers rates their recent release as "skewed" three points in favor of Obama. When you "fix" Rasmussen's poll you'll see that Romney's true national lead is really 8 points.
Even Gallup. Even GALLUP is in the tank for Obama. Chambers calculated their recent result as having an Obama-lean of 1 point.
So there you have it. EVERY SINGLE POLL is biased against Romney. Even the outlying ones that show Romney ahead. Of course, it's well-known that Statistics, frequently espoused at major universities, is liberally biased.
Time for Chambers to join the NateSilverTruthers.
