The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee did not release what the presidential numbers were in the poll, making it harder to judge how accurate it is. It will take a few days and some nonpartisan polling to see the long-term impact of Mourdock's comments, but the poll suggests that he may have done serious damage to his campaign.
The poll of 446 likely voters was conducted by the Democratic firm Anzalone Liszt Research from Oct. 24-25 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points.
The lack of Presidential toplines indeed makes it hard to judge if this Donnelly bounce will stick. I would like to think that Joe Donnelly doing well will help Obama get more votes in Indiana and may help Brendan Mullen in the Indiana 2nd race and Dave Crooks in the Indiana 8th. I would have liked our Front Pagers to put in a good word for Donnelly since he would probably vote for good SCOTUS justices that would uphold Roe, and overturn Citizens United. Joe Donnelly is a Congressman who has stood with the Middle Class time and time again and I believe that he would as Indiana's newest Senator. He would be a upgrade to Richard Lugar, and I hope that Donnelly can be convinced by Joe Biden to be more pro-choice in his voting record.
