I went to vote today on my lunch hour at the West Regional Library in Plantation. Hundreds of signs, mostly for local candidates, just two each for the president and Romney. Broward is heavily Democrat but I'm seeing a lot more pro-Romney signs in my neighborhood than one would expect.
The line at the library was out the door, estimated wait an hour and a half, too long for me. My neighbor was in the line and she had just received a text from her friend that there was no line at a different location (Victory Life Church), but there is no early voting at that location.
These are the only early voting locations in Broward.
Gave me an idea, though....
Why not some sort of message board, Facebook or Twitter page, or something else where people can post when they are waiting to vote or are otherwise aware of the current wait times at a polling station? I'll take a day off from work if I have to, but there are some people who want to vote but just can't wait for hours.
By the way, there has been record turnout in Broward, even though the GOP-controlled legislature has drastically cut back on early voting times. Some people had to wait five hours or more.
Be careful where you park, lots are full and some voters' cars are being towed if parked illegally.
