On NPR's All Things Considered this afternoon was an 'update on the candidates'.
First was a piece about candidate Romney in Ohio ,where NPR did manage to include the statement that the campaign may have gone a little 'too far' in mixing politics and relief efforts at the Ohio rally this morning.
Following that was the 'update' on President/candidate Obama by NPR, (and Fox News), pundit Mara Liasson . Dip below the golden croissant to hear just how Mara's hamster punditry spun the hamster wheel on the 'update'.
What did she spend her time analyzing? You would think that since the Romney piece covered Romney activity today, the Obama piece would do the same. But did Liasson even mention what Obama has been doing the last 24 -48 hours? Not a word, though i admit I slammed the radio off before the piece finally ended.
No, Mara decided to focus on President Obama's 'poor' performance at the FIRST presidential debate, to back up what is evidently her pet theory that the Obama campaign is in trouble because he cannot figure out who he is. No, she's still obsessed with what she calls Obama's 'lack of aggressiveness' in debate one.
Gee , so in Mara's world, I guess NOTHING has happened BEFORE or AFTER the first debate???? Did Liasson miss the second and third debates where Obama cleaned Romney's clock? Did she miss the convention too? Forget the fact that Obama is effectively marshaling the response to Sandy today.
So that was her frikkin' update for Tuesday, October 30, 2012.
So if you are stuck in the house with nowhere to go, but have an internet connection, or need a break from Sandy, or have just had enough, help put pressure on NPR. After all we are usually the ones who defend it. Liasson is a lazy, biased pundit who only adds to the malaise entrenched over at NPR political reporting. maybe they deserve some prodding. I certainly sent them a cranky-ass 'piece of my mind'. link follows to send them your comments.
