Yes, it was a lie too far. Now VP Joe Biden is not mincing words. Not calling it malarkey, calling it a lie, "an outrageous lie." In Sarasota, Florida, today, Biden let Mitt have it:
"They said that President Obama forced Chrysler into bankruptcy ... so the Italians could take over Chrysler and ship Jeep manufacturing to China," Biden said about Romney's latest ad.

"I wouldn't call these guys acrobats, I'd call them contortionists," Biden quipped.

"It's an outrageous lie," Biden said, adding that it's the "most flagrantly dishonest ads I can ever remember."

"They're trying to scare the living devil out of a group of people who have been hurt so badly," Biden said.

"What a cynical, cynical thing to do," Biden said

The lying has become the issue and the ad has backfired. Finally, a lie too far.
