I was browsing my facebook page when I came across a post from Rob McKenna, the Republican candidate for governor here in Washington State. One of my right wing friends had given it a "like", so it was visible on my page. Here it is:
"Rob McKenna
Don't let King County steal the election again! Mail your ballot today or return it to a ballot dropbox near you."
It then gives the locations of the various drop boxes where voters can drop off their ballots.
Now, the race for governor in the last election was tight. The winner was not determined until weeks after election day, not until all the votes in the state's most populous county, King, were counted and recounted. But nobody stole anything. King County is also the most liberal county in the state and it is where the city of Seattle is located. Maybe he means that democratic voters, simply by voting in the last election, stole the governorship from the Republicans. Whatever he's saying, it's crap.
In 2012, with all that Republicans are doing to deny Americans the right to vote, this idea angers me.
If you have a moment, wander over to Rob's facebook page and tell him what you think of anyone who dares to try and "steal" an election.
