Cuyahoga BOE has posted Sunday's walk-up totals: 2536 (down from 3534 in 2008). Walk-up totals are down 15 percent vs. 2008 after the next-to-last day of early voting.

Cuyahoga's total absentee votes (what has been reported to be all early voting-absentee+mail-in) : 240030 in 2012 vs. final total of 265736 in 2008, which means is 90 percent of the 2008 final figure with the remainder of absentee ballots to be counted and one day of walk-up voting left.

As of Friday, Ohio early voting was already at 1665089 for 2012 vs. 1714812 for 2008. That means statewide early voting is running at 97 percent of the 2008 totals (vs. 90 percent in Cuyahoga).
The danger -- I hope it does not come to pass -- is that 2012 is a replay of 2004 when for all the media coverage about Kerry voting in metropolitan areas, Bush pulled away on the strength of the Rove machine in rural areas where the media did on trek.
