Hi, well, here on "election day" I guess it's(way way past..) time for me to post another
diary...I could go on and on about so many things, couldn't we all?
But in view of the "special" day this is and in view of the UNBELIEVABLE long lines
to vote, that people across the country are forced to endure as long as they are able-
voting or not since so many have to end up leaving before they actually "get to" vote,
I just have one question.
WHY DON'T ALL STATES HAVE VOTING BY MAIL ?
We in Oregon have had voting by mail for quite awhile, but even before this, I simply
don't remember ever waiting in line to vote, more than about 10 minutes. Since we happen to live close to the county seat, we actually just drop our ballots in the secure box
at the county court house drive through. I did this LAST WEEK !
Please, I do not mean to put Oregon up as an elitist state by any means, I just don't get this !
What am I missing besides the usual Republican manipulation of voting ?
I guess there must be lots of factors, but if people here could just list some, maybe I will
be able to understand this better.
Thanks for your replies !
