This will be short, but I've been speaking with my friend in Virginia today, (I'm in Washington state), who is helping the Obama campaign by driving voters to the polls. He lives in the Arlington area and had already visited two polling stations, (one in Woodbridge and the other in Mt. Vernon), and had driven by several others. He said turnout was high and one thing that really stood out to him was how many Latinos were waiting in line to vote. These were, of course, just localized observations, but they would seem to validate the additional observations in this diary.
Latino enthusiasm might have indeed been underestimated...
