Three months ago, I confidently called dibs on this moment. I knew it would arrive as surely as the equinox, and I wanted to share it with all my Republican friends. People like Noonan and Cillizza, Scarborough and Rove, Balz and Todd, Luntz and ALL of Faux News.
Three months ago, I made that call based solely on the strength of the analytical acumen of Nate and Sam. It was bold, but not audacious. Why? Math rocks, that's why. It's not a liberal thing, or a conservative thing. It's a reality thing.
And now I'm going to enjoy sharing it.... again.
Why was it possible to stake that claim so far in advance? Because Sam and Nate have shown us that prognostication of political races in the Information Age has reached a level of accuracy that will forever change the "gut feeling" school of punditry.
My prediction -- these guys are going to change the way elections are covered. The days of faux horse races are over. Why? Because the money guys aren't stupid. They are going to have to find a new strategy to manipulate the process because no one is going to buy the hype when number crunchers crush their narrative like grapes.
