I just wanted to mention that even though President Obama won, and won big, he was voted in by a much larger popular total than what is being reported. When you factor in all the voter suppression tactics and the outright election fraud (NOT voter fraud which is virtually nonexistent), you would come to the conclusion that even though this election looked close, it really wasn't. It underscores just how important all our votes count. Don't ever give up.

Congratulations to Pres Obama & VP Biden and the Progressives who won Congressional seats.

But.... A most sincere thank you to all the OFA, Occupy, GOTV and millions of volunteers that made it happen. Despite all the cheating and fraud you made it happen. Thank you.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

...this election: election fraud measures implemented in critical states failed.  Despite the GOP's best efforts:

    We won Pennsylvania.
    We son Iowa.
We won Ohio (no matter what Rove says).
    And we're winning Florida.

The GOP has gotten to the point where it can't exclude and win anymore.  Uness it can borg-like assimilate new voters and turn them to the dark side, they're going to have to completely revamp their philosophy or settle for becoming a permanent minority.

The road to Hell is paved with pragmatism.

and said, "I have 3 kids and a job, I just can't today."

I'll tell you, it was a lot.

"Those SOBs are trying to take my vote away. I am going to stand in line even if it takes all day."

I'll tell you, it was a lot more.

If people think that that it is just incompetence and stupidity, they will give up. If people think that it is an attempt to steal something from them, they will go through hell to prevent it from happening.

As long as we fight back and publicize what is going on, I believe that it will end up working to our advantage.

the day will eventually come when the people actually do get robbed again (2000/2004), and it will finally boil over.

The casual disregard the right wing has for the consequences of toying with this amazes me. They are really playing with a dangerous fire with the suppression tactics.

I got robo-called by them in the middle of election day. It was an automated "survey" to make sure there was no fraud in my case or something. I have no idea what responses I could give that would indicate fraud, but gave it a go. I decided that I would be an Independent female in her 30s who voted for Romney and Josh Mandel. Since none of those factors matches me, hopefully it raised a red flag for them.
