Isn't it great to have Alan Grayson back in the limelight? Here's an article loaded with three videos of him taking on the right-wing propaganda machine head on, Alan Grayson Takes On Koch Brothers: 'People Are Wising Up' To 'Outright Lies,' 'Trickery,' 'Propaganda'

Rep. Alan Grayson just won back his House seat with a 25-point victory over Tea Party incumbent, Todd Long. Grayson said the 2010 election was an "anomaly" which "demoralized" Democrats but that the country, and Democrats have "wised up to Republican policies and to campaign tricks from the likes of Karl Rove and the Koch brothers."

"Now [Democrats] realize that if they don't vote, it's going to hurt them," he told HuffPost Live host Mike Sacks. "Now that the Republicans have been quite explicit about what they want to do...now it's clear to people that they have to vote to defend themselves. It's not only a question of the Democrats are going to do for you, it's a question about what the Republicans will do to you if you don't vote."

Grayson said that "people are wising up" to the influence of big money backing Republican candidates and the ads put out by such groups.

"The Koch brothers and their allies and Karl Rove were able to depress the Democratic vote through outright lies and trickery repeated endlessly through their TV propaganda ads in 2010," he said in the clip above. "But now people are wising up."

In another cool video on this site Grayson says:

"The Republican majority has become completely incoherent and is falling to pieces," he said, saying there are now "two different parties: the semi-rational Republican part and the Tea Party." Grayson said that creates some leverage for House Democrats, provided they stick together.

"We have shown that we're a united caucus and the Repubilcans have shown that the crazies have taken over."

By the way, I don't have any affiliation with Representative Grayson, I just like the courageous and consistent way he calls out right-wing "malarkey," with such charm, that warms peoples hearts and brings on smiles, instead of suspicion.  I don't know how he does it, but seems to be "mainstreaming" progressive perspectives ... finally!

Sadly, I can't seem to get these new "Iframe" embed videos to work, so you will have follow the above link if you want to view them.

But, how can you not love this guy who articulates progressive perspectives with such passionate upbeat verve and exuberance?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
