Recently, Erick Erickson has been discussing what the problem was with the Romney campaign and why Republicans lost so bad. He has laid the blame at overpaid consultants and crappy messaging, but has not looked in the mirror at himself. During the first days of the occupy movement Erickson created a website and wrote blogs discussing how he was one of the 53 percent who paid taxes. This attack on those who didn't pay income taxes(even though, they pay other forms of taxes) led to a widespread denunciation of those so-called 47 percent as dependents on the government. The lack of intellectual honesty on the right and their widespread need to categorize things as good or bad, evil or not evil, led to Mitt Romney's comment at the fundraiser. Erick Erickson, is as much to blame for the loss of the Republican party as anybody. In the end occupy won by bringing the crazies in the Republican party to light.
