Like me, I'm sure many of you are excited to see Elizabeth Warren in action in the Senate. Having her on the Senate Banking Committee would give her not only a voice, but also the means to put her words into action.
However, corporate/Wall Street forces in the Senate Democratic Caucus are putting pressure on leadership to oppose Warren for Banking membership and put her in a place where her ideas will have less power:
MORE ELIZABETH WARREN SPECULATION: FINANCE COMMITTEE? – From a top Hill watcher: “Finance may be a better fit. The banks all have tax issues that are at least as important as regulations, and that's a better committee in terms of fundraising … and she'll be in big demand as a Dem fundraiser the next two years. Plus … putting her on Finance would allow Schumer to tell the banks that he did something for them.”

We helped get Warren elected. Just look at the tens of millions of dollars the grassroots raised for her, and compare it to millions the Wall Street money that Brown had on his side. Don't stop now. We need to get her on the Banking committee.
Below the fold is a list of current Banking committee members - call/email them and say you want Warren on the committee. Also contact the (D) Senators from your state.
Elizabeth Warren May Not Make the Banking Committee.
It’s hard to fathom but there’s at least a fair chance that Elizabeth Warren may not get a seat on the Senate Banking Committee.
Warren’s resume makes her a perfect fit for the committee. Her tenure as chair of the Congressional TARP oversight panel gave her a clear view of the intersection of the financial sector and government. In that post she distinguished herself as an independent thinker and critic of both the Obama administration and of banking practices.
