The gall. Trying to indoctrinate our children in our schools.
Here's an email I received today from my son's school.
Good evening, this is xxxxxxx from the middle school with an important message. Papa Johns has agreed to donate to xxxxxxx Middle School 20% of all orders placed either online or by phone tonight through Thursday, November 15. Just go to www.papajohns.com or call and use the promo code xxx. Please look at the attached flyer. Thank you very much for your support and Go Dolphins.
I found a local pizzeria that suits us just fine. The owner doesn't shoot his mouth off or whine about the cost of doing business. After all, it's just dough, cheese, and some readily available toppings. It's not rocket surgery.
UPDATE: And now we know why...
Papa John's Sued for Sending 500,000 Unsolicited Cell Phone Spam Emails
So, what better way to get around spamming laws than to get schools to spam for him. 20% off? Probably about what he paid OnTime4U to send unsolicited text messages on Papa John's behalf to cell phones advertising their pizza products.
