Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate Chicago, our re-elected President and the simple joy of partaking of way too much food with a fantastic group of like-minded people. Special thanks to broths for keeping me together and being such a great organizer. The cupcakes weren't bad either.... And it was one of those days that make Fall Chicago's best season.

I'll be going over our member list and adding those of you who aren't on there already. As you know, I have great hopes for our Group. If we can't keep the Kosiverse up-to-date on the craziness that is Chicago, then there's something wrong. We've got it all here in our beautiful city on the Lake and so many of us specialize in different aspects of our Town. Any Chicago-related post can be published under the Group banner and will maybe get a few more readers. Of course, any such diary would still be posted under the author's name as well.

We have quite a few members who couldn't make it to Manny's yesterday and they have all said that they are looking forward to our next get-together. After seeing the photos I'll bet that desire will be kicked up a notch or two.  I was thinking of something on or close to Inauguration Day but all suggestions as to time and place will be more than welcome.

The photos are awaiting under the Kos-a-doodle.

Edited to fix the names on one of the photos. I tried so hard to get it right the first time.  ::sigh::

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
