Just watched Spielberg's Lincoln.
It was amazing. It reminded me of Spielberg's 1997 Amistad and Apted's Amazing Grace from 2006. All are must watch films for anyone on this site.
All these films are about the required political maneuvers by determined individuals to end the evils of slavery.
