As most of us here know, the Senate failed to ratify the treaty for the Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities. The vote for the treaty failed because many Republicans believed that the treaty was somehow a threat to US sovereignty, or home schooling, or something.

I was curious to see what the Fox News website had to say about this. But I can't find anything about it on the site!

I did a search for "treaty," "UN," "disabilities," and a couple of other terms (filtered for content in the last 4 days) - yet I still don't see a story or article discussing the Senate vote on the treaty.

Can anyone else find the story? If not... help me to understand... why is this story not news on FoxNews.com?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Nope, it's a not a joke. I first tried to use Google to find the story (search text was "fox news un disability treaty senate") and I was surprised that nothing came up under FoxNews.com.

Then I went to the FoxNews.com website, and couldn't find the story.

My question at the end of the diary is rhetorical.

This is a case where FoxNews.com is creating an alternate news reality for its viewers. The actions of Senate Republicans are extreme and crazy; Fox knows it; and so they simply don't report this story on their site.

Yet somehow, a poll of Republican voters indicates that many believe that ACORN is behind Obama's election victory. Go figure.

If Bullshit Mountain News doesn't report it, it must not be news. Now, the war on Christmas, this is where it's happening.

or they bury them on a secondary page.

marijuana Legalization?  Buried on the second page, not even an image to go along with it, just a copy of an AP story.

95% of all life forms that once existed on earth are now extinct. It is only a matter of time until the Republicans follow suit.

... I added Bob Dole to your list of search terms on Fox and ... nada.  It's pretty amazing actually, you'd think that one Fox flunky would mention the return of their former standard bearer to the Senate chamber, but I guess what we saw didn't happen in Foxville.

I haven't been here long enough to be considered a Kossack, does that mean that I'm just a sack?
