Politics seems to be taking the weekend off, if an announcement from the Speaker's office is any indication.
John Boehner has announced that there will be no weekly Republican address tomorrow out of respect for the victims of today's horror in Connecticut and so, as he puts it, "President Obama can speak for the entire nation at this time of mourning."
A classy act by the Speaker. It's a sad day, though, that it takes a tragedy like this to take the tinder out of our political discourse.
