My f___ing problem this week is conservative beliefs held by family. I just got back from a family get together and of course there were a couple of 2%ers to avoid discussing politics with.
WYFP is our community's Saturday evening gathering to talk about our problems, empathize with one another, and share advice, pootie pictures, favorite adult beverages, and anything else that we think might help. Everyone and all sorts of troubles are welcome. May we find peace and healing here. Won't you please share the joy of WYFP by recommending?
Please follow me below the fold.
Twice per year our scattered family gets together. We are variously located in New England (two of our family groups), Western PA, and a Phoenix suburb. The site rotates between the non-Phoenix sites. As the Phoenix-area resident I do some serious flying twice per year.
The core family grew up in RI and moderate. Right now there are two of our group of six who are very conservative economically - they are our 2%-ers and don't want to hear anything about taxes being raised.
If I comment about voter suppression in PA I get a response about the new black Panthers. Anything to dodge the truth. You know the drill. They hold a crazy quilt of conservative ideas - they are pro-choice but are climate change deniers.
So tell our group here what ails you. Go ahead and get it off your chest - you know you want to!
