In the cold Wisconsin December, we are continuing our efforts to collect signatures to ensure that Ed is on the ballot for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. We have seen a positive response from progressives throughout the state, but are hoping to get additional volunteers within the Madison and Milwaukee metro areas, as well as some volunteers in Northern, Western, and South Central Wisconsin (areas where we have less of a presence). If you have organized for previous democratic campaigns anywhere in the state, worked on the Scott Walker recall efforts, or just feel you can help out in any way, please contact me at issixit@gmail.com. We need to sustain the signature gathering efforts throughout the holidays. Even if you can just take a nomination sheet to a holiday dinner, or collect signatures in your neighborhood, every signature counts.

Because of the time of year (holidays), when other obligations are of course at the forefront of our collective minds, we are in great need of Wisconsinites throughout the state to make 100% sure that we far surpass the 4,000 signature mark.

We know Ed will be on the ballot with the assistance of everyone in the Daily Kos community. I hope to hear from you.

In closing, it's helpful to not forget why we are working so hard. We know and truly believe that Ed has: the passion to win this race, the intellect to offer Wisconsin well-reasoned and thoughtful judicial opinions (that will move the state forward), and an unwavering vision of justice that will restore the luster to a tarnished court.

Thanks again.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
