Daily Kos Radio's Kagro in the Morning show podcasts are now available through iTunes.

We've also got a new and improved version of our embedded live stream player, below.

We'll talk more about "constitutional hardball" in the context of Newtown today, now that I've pulled out my dog-eared copy of Prof. Mark Tushnet's article, discussed on yesterday's show.

And we'll be joined by Evan Macbeth, aka Paradox13, an actual honest to God, real life member of the 2012 Electoral College. One of Nate Silver's Five Thirty-eight, if you will.

We're LIVE at 9 a.m. ET with Kagro in the Morning, thanks to NetrootsRadio.com.

?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.
Rescue this diary, and add a note:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from Rescue?
Choose where to republish this diary. The diary will be added to the queue for that group. Publish it from the queue to make it appear.

Add a quick update to your diary without changing the diary itself:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary?
(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

On Monday's show, I'm on about 12 and a half minutes in.

I am not sure what we'll talk about today.

But I will be there ;-)

The percentage of Americans favoring tough gun regulations rose significantly after the mass killings at a Connecticut elementary school last Friday, a Reuters/Ipsos poll said on Monday.

The poll found that 50 percent of those surveyed after the shootings agreed that "gun ownership should have strong regulations or restrictions." Among those surveyed before the killings the number was 42 percent

    and listen in too.

We need to spread the word, these shows really are very good.

You get to choose on a morning.

You can have slickly presented with high production values "Morning Joe" ...

Or you can listen to "slightly dorky but with stellar content" Daily Kos Radio.

You know which one makes sense!

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.

        But not why.

Some kind of error in the system I use to broadcast from my location caused my signal to drop, even if only temporarily. But when my signal goes out, the Netroots Radio computers are set to pick up the stream and begin playing the next scheduled content. That's how we have it set up for days when Armando isn't available for the 11 Show. That way, the Netroots Radio guys don't have to sit there waiting for my show to end. They can go to work and have normal lives and let the computers do the work.

Unfortunately, the system doesn't know the difference between my dropping the signal on purpose and on schedule at the end of my show, and my signal dropping by accident because of some blip in my Internet connection (or whatever). And once the Netroots Radio has control of the stream, it takes a manual override to let it go. And no one else, including me, can grab it back while someone else has got control of it.

Luckily, Justice was available to click the off button on the Netroots Radio side, freeing up the stream for me to take it up again just a short time after we discovered the problem, and then I was back on the air. And since I record the program on my own system right here, the podcast will have the full audio, with no interruptions.

Annoying, but I guess it's just one of the trade-offs we accept in lieu of spending millions of dollars for an actual radio station and all of the attendant technology.

Thanks for the opportunity to be on the show, even if David and I were only talking to each other without listeners for a while there. :) It was a lot of fun.

Nice hearing from Paradox13--I'll have to tune into the recast.
