Jake Tapper, the poster boy of mainstream Beltway journalism, is leaving ABC. That's the good news.
The bad news is that he is joining CNN, which considers this a good thing.
Tapper has been a widely-respected reporter in the nation’s capital for 14 years
Yeah, sure. And I'm the Shah of Iran.
Actually, he probably belongs at CNN, which grows less relevant by the week. Hiring a dyed-in-the-wool Beltway denizen to be their chief Washington guru -- or whatever they call it -- is just further proof that CNN is not long for this world.
