Not Connery's Best Moment
I've been racking my brain, trying to understand the NRA recently.
And then, suddenly I had an Epiphany.
They NRA are underpants gnomes who follow Zardoz.
I realize that this is an extremely strange thing, but from an entertainment standard, it's comedy gold. Why else would they be shown on television constantly, with their extremely bizarre behavior?
(It all makes sense on the flip.)
First Let's Start With the Plan:
Phase One: Sell More Guns and Shoot More Bad Guys.
Phase Two: ?
Phase Three: Fewer Deaths and a wonderful free society.
This only makes sense if you're trying to make an extremely sick joke. I mean, it's not Like TV doesn't have it's share of completely sick and disgusting jokes, but damn, if this isn't the best of anti-joke humor. It's SO not funny that it's... hilarious.
And then we get down to what they're actually proposing, and LOW and behold, it's cribbed from a 1974 bad movie. It's a philosophy that was specifically chosen to make the people promoting it sound... fricking NUTS.
Now, can we finally acknowledge the joke, laugh at them, and at long last, ignore them. I mean a joke's funny, ONCE, but they've been beating a dead horse on this one.
I mean it's not like we actually have elections that look like this, now, do we?
