You might remember that Mayor Bloomberg chastised the Mormon Church for online gun sales.
Many were surprised to learn that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormon Church) owned one of the largest private gun sales websites in the country.
Bloomberg is quoted saying:
“One would think that a church would feel a special obligation to make sure that they weren't fueling a black market for a particularly deadly form of commerce,”
In the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings, the Mormon Church-owned
KSL responded:
Statement on Firearms and Hunting Section
Like everyone else in the country, the management of KSL is profoundly saddened by the tragedy in Connecticut....
Accordingly, KSL has temporarily suspended firearms listings on KSL.com classifieds. We recognize that this may inconvenience responsible citizens who have used this service, but we feel this is an important step while these broader societal issues are examined.
I thought I'd check in to see if KSL was keeping their word. True, Mormon Church-owned KSL is no longer selling guns.

However, for some reason the Mormon Church-owned KSL Classified didn't see any reason to ban selling 30 round magazines for assault weapons for all those weapons already sold via KSL.
This is a screen shot of todays classified ads found under the Hunting and Fishing section.
On December 19, 2012, the Huffington Post shared their research on this topic:
Mormon Church-Owned News Website KSL Suspends Gun Ads In Wake Of Newtown Shooting
KSL's classified section no longer includes firearms, but does include gun safes, gun racks, gun holsters and gun ammunition. It is one of the largest classified sections online, and it has let people buy guns without background checks, according to a report from the New York City Mayor's office cited by BuzzFeed.
Perhaps Mayor Bloomberg and the media can put pressure on the Mormon Church-owned KSL to also stop selling 30 round magazines under the Hunting and Fishing classified ad section.
**THIS IS WHAT ISN'T BEING REPORTED
AS DISTURBING, within hours of the announcement that KSL suspended private firearms sales through its classifieds service a new website was launched offering Utah citizens a place to buy and sell guns.
This young man claims to be one of the founders of the new Utah Gun Exchange website which is selling lots of semi-automatic assault weapons and 30 round mags.
Meet Nick Moyes

Parker Boyack is listed here as a contact person for the new Utah Gun Exchange.
Here's pic of Parker Boyack found here in the comment section:
QUESTION - Where the heck did these two young men get the money to quickly launch the new Utah Gun Exchange?
Seriously. How do two young men instantly appear, within hours, with a replacement for one of the country's largest online gun sales websites?
THE UTAH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, list of CERTIFIED FIREARMS INSTRUCTORS provides Nick Moyes contact information here.
Maybe someone with more nerve than I have can call and/or write to Nick Moyes and ask him.
