It's official, NOAA says 2012 was the warmest year ever in the U.S. The new record of 55.3°F broke the old record set in 1998 by a whole degree.
362 new all time high temperature records were set in 2012 while no new all time low temperature records were set. December was the 334th month in a row with above normal temperatures.
