Most of us Kossacks know that the Gun Owners of America thinks the NRA isn't extreme enough. Just how extreme they are, however, became crystal clear on Friday, when executive director Larry Pratt appeared on VCY America's Crosstalk. Pratt declared that any new laws on gun use would amount to paganism. People for the American Way got a clip.
Frankly, it almost would seem that animism won’t go away. The left, which is largely made up of people who don’t believe in Jesus Christ’s blood as being necessary for our salvation, view inanimate objects as possessing their own will. That’s animism, that’s a return to the most pagan of paganism and look at what nutty political views it ends up supporting.
So let's see if we've got this straight. Common-sense reform of our gun laws is a bad idea because it promotes paganism? You really can't make this stuff up.
Listen to the whole thing here. Pratt and VCY America president Vic Eliason delved into numerous conspiracy theories about government buybacks of guns and ammo, and also suggested that any new proposals would face violent resistance. Pratt even claimed that any law enforcement officials who obeyed such an order could potentially be executed.
I repeat--you can't make this stuff up.
