The Purpose of most Native American ceremonies is not worship. Ceremonies are a celebration of and a renewal of the partnership between human beings and the spiritual world. Native American spirituality tends to view human beings as a part of a universe which includes both physical and spiritual entities. ~ Speaks Lightning, also known as Ojibwa

Hello and welcome. Today my fellow Koscadians and I along with Ojibwa share with you our Blessings.
At our Meet up at Sara R and winglion's home in Portland Ojibwa performed a Pipe ceremony, a Healing Ceremony, and a Blessing Ceremony.
We began with the Pipe Ceremony.
When burned in a calumet or pipe, tobacco smoke becomes a way of carrying prayers and messages to the spirits. Smoking the pipe in a ceremonial context is another of making a connection with the sacred. ~ Ojibwa
In the Healing Ceremony we had some special requests.
From Sara and winglion:
Healing for llbear, michelewin, Timaeus and Dave in Northridge.
From me: healing for Clytemnestra and for all of the Daily Kos Community.
When I made the request for healing here at Daily Kos it was echoed around the room. Horace said for peace, Sara said for harmony, and all were in agreement with these words.
In the Blessing Ceremony Ojibwa blessed the quilts Sara and winglion made for llbear, michelewin, and Dave in Northridge.

After the ceremonies we all spent time visiting, eating, and exploring the Magic Place where the quilts are made.
Sara made her world famous Cincinnati chili.
It was delicious!
Cedwyn spoiled us rotten with her German Date Bread.
Cookies with jam!
KaminPDX loves cheesecake!
I believe it is safe to say that all Koscadians in attendence love cheesecake. It disappeared!
Cedwyn and winglion sharing their love of fabrics.
Horace asked winglion for a pattern and voila she found two.
We had a great afternoon chatting about a variety of things.
We discovered a Diva among us - KaminPDX's daughter!
It was wonderful meeting KaminPDX, his wife and daughter.
His daughter is as beautiful as her mom. Welcome to Daily Kos ❤!

It was a very special day with very special friends.
I was honored to be asked by Ojibwa to help perform the ceremonies. I played the rattle at the encouragement of Horace. Thank you Ojibwa and HB!
