Happy Friday, beer fans! Stop in and share a cold one with us.
This week I'm inspired by this link I spotted somewhere:
4 excellent breakfast beers.
I'm hardly unaware of the concept of beer for breakfast; when I was in the Stanford Band the traditional beginning to a game day was beer and donuts. That beer was generally the cheapest stuff the band could find.
The modern "breakfast" beer is a high-priced high-gravity craft product. The most common to use this label is the "breakfast stout" style, generally strong, sweet, and full of coffee and chocolate notes from the dark malts. Some beers even add coffee. Although one of the best of that description IMO is Lagunitas Cappucino Stout, which doesn't use the "breakfast" label.
Whatever. Drink what you like, when you like.
I've got SN Celebration ale. What are you drinking?
