I already told you about a conservative twitter group reporting us for spam:
We have already reports of Kossacks being blocked at Twitter because of false spam reports.
Here is the advice needed to avoid a politically biased abuse of a needed Twitter function.
Should we make an effort to have them all banned for abusing the system?
Twitter makes it easy to report accounts for spam. When enough users report an account, it automatically gets suspended. Some users abuse this feature by organizing a group to report or “spam-block” a single account in order to get it suspended.
Conservatives created the “Twitter Gulag Defense Network” or #TGDN to stop spam-blocking attacks. Aware that accounts with more followers are less likely to get suspended, they mutually followed anyone else using #TGDN. Now that their group is organized and members are protected, they have begun targeted spam-blocking of progressive accounts, exactly what their group was created to oppose. Ironic.
AssassinGrl lets us in on how to avoid the trap.
Me: @coolguy I can’t believe those teabaggers are so stupid.
You: @AssassinGrl I know, what a bunch of losers.
Me: @coolguy You are sooooo right!
You: @AssassinGrl You are sooo smart and beautiful.
This conversation could easily be flagged by twitter’s algorithm as being spam if someone false flags us, especially if one of us follows significantly more people than follows us.
This can be avoided.
Me: You know @coolguy, I can’t believe those teabaggers are so stupid.
You: Yeah @AssassinGrl I know, what a bunch of losers.
Me: . @coolguy You are sooooo right!
You: . @AssassinGrl You are sooo smart and beautiful.
Even putting a punctuation mark like a period (.) or slash (/) before the user name will protect you from being mistakenly caught by twitter’s anti-spam algorithm.
Twitter is finally acting on this group and the internet microscope has dug up some naughtiness of the founder of the lynch mob.
Sad we have to change our writing style to avoid getting put in twitter jail by a lynch mob of conservatives but we have to do something.
Update:
Does the smiley face make it a request instead of a demand? Ladies, care to chime in and provide some insight?
After our initial report, there were concerns by some people that Todd Kincannon was being setup or entrapped by political foes. However, if these texts are from Todd, they would indicate that he’s not being setup, but is soliciting nude pictures of young women that he doesn’t know of his own accord. Public figures should be held to a higher standard, right? Todd certainly thought so in his tweet about Anthony Weiner that we highlighted in our post yesterday.
