Seriously, I cannot understand Graham. In the past he's been known to compromising with Democrats on certain occasions but Graham's vocal opposition to Chuck Hagel's nomination to being Secretary of Defense is very disturbing. Whether it is Graham who personally believes Hagel is wrong to be SoD or if the Tea Party sect in South Carolina is pining down his ass like a eagle going after its prey until all of President Obama's agenda is blocked, Graham is really starting to get on my nerves.
There is really no valid reason to block Hagel's nomination. None whatsoever, unless you're like Graham who is up for re-election in 2014 and you can't afford to lose your constituency's support.
Get a load of this. Senator Graham doesn't want to block former Hagel's nomination but he wants President Obama to do it himself.
Sen. Lindsey Graham isn't committing to blocking former Sen. Chuck Hagel's nomination to be secretary of defense.Senator Graham, perhaps you ought to reconsider running for re-election in 2014 if you want to be partisan like you are. What you're doing is throwing your own former Republican U.S. Senator under the bus (Hagel being one of the more decent and transparent Republicans there out of 85% not being so).
Instead, he wants President Barack Obama to do that for him.
The South Carolina Republican issued a statement Tuesday morning saying he hoped the "Obama administration will reconsider his nomination."
Here's the answer: Obama will not reconsider. Why don't you fight your own party on the fiscal matters? Too scared?
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Graham's Tuesday statement raised questions about Hagel's comments on the suspected Iranian nuclear program. Graham pressed Hagel on Iran at last week's hearing.Chuck Hagel is a good man. And these are dangerous times. Times which you, Senator Graham, helped start with your GOP Congressional idiots when you continued to press for deregulation and voted many times to rubber stamp President Bush's agenda which sent the debt and deficit to soaring to record levels!
"Chuck Hagel is a good man, but these are dangerous times. What kind of signal are we sending to the Iranians when our nominee for Secretary of Defense seems clueless about what our policy is?" his statement said.
I want to give a personal thanks to Senator Graham for trying his very best to be sincere. Unfortunately, now is the time we start selecting an additional target to defeat for re-election in 2014. Mitch McConnell is a prime target but Lindsay Graham should be.
If not, the Tea Party challenger who beats Graham for re-election should be targeted for defeat as well.
Ok. Time to get on the DSCC's asses.
