Supporter of Robin Kelly in IL-02?  I gave a bit when I was first alerted to the campaign after DKos endorsed her campaign, but since then I've become even more positive on Kelly's chances and how our contribs can really help her.

So now I want to give more, but to make my donation go further, I'd like to get others to donate along with me.

Here's the deal - for every buck the amount raised for her on the DK page goes up (it's at $54,135 as of now), I'll match it, at least for the next $100.

So if you want to donate $50 but can only spare $25, I'll match your $25 and you'll be able to double your contribution to Robin Kelly, and do what you can to strike a blow against the gun manufacturers' lobby known as the NRA.

Go give what you can now!

(PS.  This match pledge is something I've done in the past, so you can see I'm not blowing smoke; also, I swear on the Holy Book of the Flying Spaghetti Monster that I will be honor my promise.)

If you want to chime in in the comments you donated, please do so!   Happy Saturday!

Mon Feb 11, 2013 at 6:51 AM PT: My maximum match pledge was met. Thanks folks!  I didn't set up a dedicated page so I can't thank you personally, but you know who you are.

I put in my $100 for Robin Kelly here:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
