Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D. NH) is at her wits end with the House GOP's stalling with reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act and needs our help to continue to put pressure on the House GOP:
For months and months, House Republicans have been blocking the life-saving protections of the Violence Against Women Act.
Their fervor has now stretched to Concord, where yesterday a Republican state representative said: “Some people could make the argument that a lot of people like being in abusive relationships. It’s a love-hate relationship… People are always free to leave.”
Enough is enough. People are not always free to leave. Women need stronger, more robust protections, not weaker ones. I need you to help me send that message to House Republicans now: It is time to pass the Senate version of VAWA before it’s too late.
Click here to tell House Republicans: Pass the Senate version of VAWA:

I need you to stand up for this now.
Thank you,
Jeanne Shaheen
Shaheen has been one of the lead Democrats pushing to get the VAWA reauthorized and made national press for authoring the Shaheen Amendment which expand abortion rights for female soldiers who are serving. The Shaheen Amendment made it into the final draft of the National Defense Authorization Act and passed in the Senate. She is also working to get the Charlie Morgan Act passed that expands all military benefits to same sex couples who are in the military. Please do sign her petition:
