With meteoric corporate profits and the stock market hitting new highs, but with unemployment not budging, a smart company would do something to fire up the economy while helping themselves at the same time.
Roll with me below...
A smart company would offer deep discounts of 25-50% on all products and services
for a month, say in May.
The message: In these tough times, we are helping our customers so they have more money to get what they need, and what their families need. It is the right thing to do, and we want to show our appreciation for those who shop with Walmart.
The upside for the company (besides creating tons of goodwill):
* Stimulated economy from increased demand
* Sales would increase
* Number of customers would increase
* Number of returning customers should increase
Other companies would jump on the bandwagon to create goodwill and increase sales.
Enough companies might jump on that it becomes a BFD.
