This diary is cross-posted to my blog, where you'll find additional info about IRS 990s and other AIDS Inc groups, along with posts about fiscal transparency.
As a longtime person with AIDS and AIDS watchdog, I asked the San Francisco AIDS Foundation to provide me with a copy of their 2012 IRS 990 filing.
The IRS 990 form all nonprofits must make available to the public when so requested, is a valuable accountability tool.
I want to see how much their executive director and other top executives are making, because it's important to follow the money.
Here's the salary info:
Neil Giuliano, executive director
$270,000
Bob Rybicki, program director
$210,000
Judith Auerbach, science director (retired)
$198,000
Barbara Kimport, development director
$186,000
James Loduca, communications director
$167,000
Jonathan Zinman, finance director
$156,000
Ernest Hopkins, federal affairs director
$141,000
Total compensation amount paid to the seven top executives: $1,328,000.
Those pay levels are quite high and I'd like to see the pay cut and the money spent on direct services for people with AIDS, like hot meals and rental housing vouchers.
