Part of me thinks I'm preaching to the converted but another part of me just wants to make sure. I think most of you reading this are fairly intelligent people with an I.Q. above room temperature. So at the risk of stating the obvious...People if we don't get out in and actually vote in this mid term election then it will be as if 2008 and 2012 never happened at all. Republicans, especially in the Senate and Congress have made it perfectly clear they are going to do everything in their power to make sure Obama has a long four years. That's putting it mildly. Let's face it. If Obama discovered a cure for cancer tomorrow Republicans would have a problem with that too and do everything to stop him. They are counting on our usual apathy when it comes to voting in mid-term elections. They have no hope in hell of winning or even competing on the national stage with their rhetoric. This is all they've got anymore. If we really want to put the final nail the Republican coffin winning in 2014 would be the one-two punch they couldn't come back from. Imagine a world without fat, loud, racist, old white men (are you happy?). I wonder if you can?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
