More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

...as he sees the chart and learns about his hunger for the first time!

That re-enactment thing just reminded me of so many silly scenes on silly fake documentary "reality" shows these days....priceless!!
(I notice I have never recognized an actor from a re-enactment scene!  I guess that would blow the feel of the re-enactment!  I do notice repeated use of actors in national commercials, however....I watch too much tv, probably in the hope that my brain will warp in the other direction, and thus straighten out.)

The Senator's comments regarding his shift on marriage equality because of his son gave me a horrific insight into just how out of touch with these right wingers are.  No wonder they can talk about reducing social security and Medicare--  no one they know personally needs it. Their circle doesn't enlist, so why be concerned about veterans' benefits. No wonder they think the whole country shares their religious beliefs.

  •  Hunger is a game changer... (0+ / 0-)

Bob Marley said that a "Hungry Man is an Angry Man"...

Had a short interlude with Fox News this morning...  hehehe

This lady who kept emphasing her being a conservative...

And she kept using the but word along with "we need the country to be united "AGAIN"...  I was born in 1950...  heard lots of off the record conversations from people who never gave me any idea that it ever has been.

If I were sitting across from her I would want to know in what manner would this 'unity' be manifested...?  She is a conservative who is telling the people who are falling through the cracks of the "worlds greatest financial system" with the haves thumbing their noses at the poor and needy saying get a job and give me tax breaks and I will give you a job...  does that sound like bribery?

In short...  I know I can get drifty I am an old man with lots of stuff clogged up in my mind...  smile...

But once on "the beach" down the Pacific Coast past Carmel I was sitting in a consciousness group smoking some ganja from Big Sur.  This guy from the writers colony up in the mountains, an old guy at the time...  started talking about the war...

War is the only thing that unites the rich and poor of a nation...  but it is only temporary...  the rich see the poor as fodder to do what Bagehot taught...  progress by military agression not diplomacy...  Bagehot made a statement about the Oriental man that he would have to choke on today...

This guy also said that the under the breath code of this country was to have a war every 30 years for various obvious reason...  the biggest being to cull the poor through death and those who resisted would be imprisoned or given a general tag that would preclude them from advancing in the system...

  •  The Reason our problems can not be solved in... (0+ / 0-)

our dear country today is because of the dialogue and the venue that it is taking place...  most people get their education (smile/laugh) from social media now.  And having choice they select what ever looks, feels and sounds comforting to them.

the ability to reason and see the big picture is almost a thing of the past.  to advance sometimes means to have to make alliances with some people who don't use the same scents that we use to camo our natural scents...

Our grand fathers had an idiom that went "a house divided can not stand"...  there is no amount of money, power, knowledge that can make this statement false ever...

The North Korean leader is using a method to keep his house standing...  England has her method...  the catholic church theirs...  China has one...  we have ours...  wall street has one...  and so on...

and then there is the big picture...  if there are no people in place who have vision across the spectrum there is a problem...  check history...  visionaries are usually jailed, killed or housed in asylums by the powers that be...  ask the Korean leader about this method...

There is always an answer to a problem...  but the solution will sometimes cause a paradigm shift that will make a few uncomfortable...
