People will not like this diary. It will be short, and it will be about the obvious, painful topic that is at hand.
Some highly enlightened fellow posted this nugget of wisdom in my BookFace feed:
"Of course I would never wish anything like this to happen, but if it was going to happen, I'm glad it wasn't a shooting. People need to realize that the problem is sick people. They will kill people with or without guns."
This is frustrating me, so rather than start a war of words which will turn nasty with many, many people I have to see and live with everyday, I figured I'd drop this right here, on the anonymous internet, where people can call me bad names and it doesn't hurt.
I keep seeing 2 dead, 100+ wounded on the news. I've been watching since 3pm. It may be too soon, but can I just say:
Isn't it strange how two bombs can kill less people than one gun?
I'm not trying to start a fight or a debate, and I'm not trolling. I just need to get these words out of my head.
I, too, am glad that what happened today wasn't a shooting. Because then more people probably would have been killed.
