National Atheist Party offers condolences to victims, supports good will of those who rush to offer aid.
Just before 3:00 pm near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, two explosions rocked the strip leaving numbers of dead and injured unconfirmed at the time of this release. In light of this incident, the National Atheist Party sends out our condolences to the families and friends of those affected by the blasts. It's tragedies like these that really give people a chance to show who and what they are truly capable of.
Vice President of PR/Marketing, Bernard "Flash" Kellish said: "It is times like these that test our 'hope for humanity'. To think that ANY ideology feels that committing such an atrocity will get anyone in their right mind sympathetic to their cause to me is ridiculous. Only cowards can cause such destruction and pain and feel it justifiable for any reason whatsoever. Our thoughts of course go out to the families and friends of the victims and that those responsible are quickly identified and dealt with to the fullest extent of the law."
To all those who have rushed to the scene to offer assistance we salute your good will. It warms our hearts to know that when those around us need help that people will actually go toward the danger to help out those who are in desperate need. For anyone in the Boston area who wishes to help, the biggest support would be to donate blood to the local Red Cross who will be working with quickly depleting supply. For more information, we direct you to the Boston Chapter's webpage: Boston Donation Center
Our hearts are heavy as our thoughts are on those who have been hurt by this tragedy. Once again we come together to show support for our fellow Americans who need it the most.
