The toe of the landslide protruding into Admiralty Inlet the day after it happened three weeks ago.
The toe of the slide now with its new section of beach after erosion from three weeks of tides and wave action.
The new beach with lumps of soft rubbery grey clay.
The water near the shore was the same color as the brown clay.
A house knocked off its foundations. Its occupant got into his truck to leave just before the house slid away, and the road in front of the truck turned into a jumble of wreckage as the whole area slid down toward the water. Fortunately he was uninjured.
The new temporary access road down to the houses that lost their road to the outside during the slide.
The old access road.
Two houses now teetering on the edge. Those houses will have to be abandoned.
More debris.
The first house as seen from above and the massive area of slide debris above it.
That house originally used to be next to where this photo was taken from.
